TINLEY PARK, IL (February 6, 2019) Known amongst staff as “Shelley the Shuttle”, the shuttle van at Hilton Garden Inn Tinley Park/Chicago will soon be departing the hotel for the last time.
The hotel has decided to donate the vehicle to Make-a-Wish Illinois’s “Wheels for Wishes” program. This program allows individuals or businesses to donate vehicles that will be sold by Make-a-Wish, with all proceeds from the sale benefitting Make-a-Wish and their mission to brighten the lives of children battling illness. The organization will be visiting the hotel on Wednesday, February 6 to pick up the van.
“It’s important to us to give back to our community because our community gives so much to us,” said Patty Glomb, General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn. “We especially wanted to give to Make-a-Wish because it’s near and dear to one of our team member’s hearts. Our Director of Sales, Angie’s stepson was a recipient of a wish, so it means a lot to our whole team to support this great organization.”
