Country Inn & Suites Minneapolis West is celebrating the completion of its multimillion-dollar renovation with area customers this week at an afternoon open house. The $4 million transformation includes a floor-to-ceiling redesign giving the hotel a fresh, new look with new, contemporary architecture; an expanded breakfast area; an outdoor veranda with a fire pit; and an Inn-Case Market Store, all representing the modernized Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM brand.

“With our guests in mind, we had two phases of our renovation,” says Drew Lynch, the hotel’s general manager. “In the summer of 2014, we completely remodeled the building’s exterior. In the late fall of 2014, we resumed renovation with a full focus on the interior.”

“We’ve retained much of the classic design that makes our guests feel at home, but refreshed it with a modern, clean and welcoming aesthetic,” adds Nicole Aune-Robinson, director of Sales. “We are excited and proud to introduce a modern, state-of-the-art board room that will meet the expectations and valued needs of our guests.”

“Carlson Towers is an important client location for the hotel,” adds Nicole. “We have more than 20 companies from the Towers who house guests here at the hotel, including Carlson, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Carlson Rezidor. We want them to know that their guests visiting Minneapolis West can expect a stylish hotel experience that reflects the Country Inn & Suites By CarlsonSM commitment to personalized comfort, the warmth of home and modern design that reflects a true sense of place.”

Guestroom updates include new furniture, carpet, light fixtures, bedding, desks; new bathroom fixtures, light, tile, tubs, toilets, showers; warm, paint color schemes; and new artwork and mirrors. Character-rich surfaces, such as stone, add warmth and depth, as do the personal touches, such as vases and interesting focal points.

“Our floor-to-ceiling transformation, along with the outstanding service culture the Country Inns & Suites brand is known for, are bound to make this hotel a great success for many years to come,” says Drew.
